HOME l We Can Help With l How To Contact Us l Other Useful Contacts CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT Confidentiality at Youth Start basically means that we will not pass on information about you, anything you tell us, or even that you have contacted us without your permission. We think confidentiality is so important that we wouldn’t even acknowledge that we knew you if we saw you outside Youth Start, unless you said “hello” first. However, information may be shared between Youth Staff and supervisors to try and make sure you get the best help possible help. We are only unable to keep to this rule if you tell us about a situation where you, or another young person’s life, or safety, is at serious risk. In these circumstances we would want to talk with you about steps that could be taken to keep you, or the other person safe. This may include sharing certain information with someone else. If you Email, Text or write to Youth Start, it will only be read by Youth Start staff and we will reply as soon as possible and always within 3 working days. All our computers require passwords and any printouts are stored securely and shredded when they are no longer needed. If you telephone Youth Start, the conversation will also be confidential. If you have any questions or worries about confidentiality at Youth Start, please contact us or call in and check things out. |
